May is the month that keeps on giving and this month it’s *drumroll*, Child’s Month!
So, whether you’re two, eight or eighteen, Happy Child’s Month!
Psalm 127: 3 which states, “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him,” clearly outlines that children are a manifestation of God’s reward to us, his love. When I was much younger, my mom would take my brothers and I to the bookstore every Child’s month and have us pick out a book that excited us. The best part was reading them and getting lost in utopia. I don’t know if I appreciated them half as much as I do now, but a small gesture like that left a resounding impact. My point is that children are a rare group of curious, happy-go-lucky, incandescent, limitless, delicate beings that are deserving of love, compassion and care. So make it YOUR point of duty as parents, guardians and loved ones to continue showing love to your children today, tomorrow and always.
